Sligo Computer Services is a small, highly skilled database programming studio with additional design and technical support capabilities. Our offices are in Takoma Park, Maryland, USA. As of September 2008, we have five employees and numerous subcontractors.

We have been providing services since 1985, and have developed a valued client list and a deep understanding of web and LAN programming environments. Comfortable in both the Microsoft and non-Microsoft worlds, we have substantial experience in .NET and J2EE, the two major web and LAN platforms. We are comfortable programming in the difficult area between web pages and databases, and have particular expertise in display and presentation of complex information through charts and graphs.

We are comfortable managing our own programming staff, as well as working closely with clients and contractors to ensure that projects are delivered on-time, in-budget, and with the highest quality and responsiveness possible.

The applications that develop from our work typically belong to the client. They are well documented and fully functional, often going through a design/version cycle over many years’ duration.

Some of our applications have had national and worldwide impact, and have served millions of hits on web pages. These include global project tracking, statewide statistical presentation, targeted policy initiatives and international financial transfers.
